The latest airline to begin flying from Durham Tees Valley Airport has received the thumbs up for customer satisfaction.
Aer Lingus, which began its service to Dublin in March, was rated second out of 18 European airlines surveyed by the consumer group Which? Almost 6,000 passengers were asked to score their flying experience on everything from value for money and seating arrangements to cabin service and cleanliness.
Aer Lingus received a 71 per cent score, just one point behind top-rated Swiss—findings warmly welcomed by Durham Tees Valley’s Marketing and Communications Manager Emma Ormerod.
Says Emma “As Which? underlines, flying with a quality airline can make a real difference to your travel experience—whether you’re going for leisure or business—and Aer Lingus received high marks on every yardstick in the survey.
“What’s really good with the service from Durham Tees Valley to Dublin is that passengers can enjoy excellent service at a very reasonable price—flights start from £29.99 one way including taxes.”
The Aer Lingus service is operated by an Aer Arann ATR-72 500 aircraft, described as the greenest passenger plane in the world, under the franchise agreement between the two airlines. It flies six days a week and fares can be booked on www.aerlingus.com.
