This weekend’s annual memorial weekend to remember the wartime airmen of the Royal Canadian Air Force who flew from the then Middleton St George Airfield—now Durham Tees Valley Airport—will have special significance.
Durham Tees Valley Airport will be welcoming some very special passengers tomorrow, May 23, when over 300 people from across the region fly out to begin a pilgrimage to Lourdes.
Durham Tees Valley Airport, which has been the base for police air support operations across the area for almost 20 years, is now playing a key role in the development of the national service.
