Amsterdam

Probably the most popular destination for flights to Holland is Amsterdam, and it's easy to see why so many people choose to visit this incredible city every year.

A lot of visitors are tempted to book flights to Holland so that they can see the museums and galleries in Amsterdam for themselves.  The Van Gogh Museum, Rijksmueum, Anne Frank's House, Museum het Rembrandthuis, and the Amsterdam Historical Museum are on most people's list of places to visit in Amsterdam.

As well as its art and museums, Amsterdam is well known for its nightlife and "brown cafes" which are the traditional Dutch pubs.  Some of the best brown cafes can be found at Zeedijk near the Central Station, and at Utrechtestraat, Leidseplein and Rembrandtplein.  These areas are visited by many of the people who choose to book flights to Holland, and you haven't experienced Amsterdam until you've been to a brown café.

Amsterdam offers incredible shopping facilities, and is another reason why so many flights to Holland are booked every year.  With over 10 000 shops to choose from, you'll definitely be spoilt for choice here.  The most popular palaces for those looking to find something unusual or snap up a bargain are around Kalverstraat and Leidsestraat.  If you're looking for an exclusive designer store, then you'll probably find it in the museum district. If antiques are your thing, then you'll want to spend time in the Speigelkwartier.  De 9 Straatjes, The 9 Streets district, is full of unique shops, and makes the perfect place if you're looking for somewhere to eat or relax whilst out shopping.  You won't want to miss the many markets whilst you're here, and see the local produce for yourself.  Don't forget that Amsterdam is an international centre for diamonds too.  If you're looking for a special piece of jewellery, then you're definitely in the right place.

The Jordaan District and the Royal Palace should also be on your to do list.  You'll have to plan your time carefully so that you make of your visit here.  Alternatively why not book more flights to Holland, and come back and see what you missed out on?

Rotterdam

Rotterdam offers just as many things to see and do as Amsterdam, and it's no wonder that so many people choose to book flights to Holland so they can visit Rotterdam.

The old markets down by the quay side are unmissable, and if you like shopping, you won't want to miss the Witte de Withstraat, Van Oldebarneveldstraat, Meent, Oude Binnenweg, and Nieuwe Binnenweg areas of the city.

There's always something going on by the waterfront, which is not surprising as Rotterdam is the largest port in Europe. You can find out more about this incredible city with a bout tour around the harbour.  The amazing Erasmus Bridge connects the north and south parts of the city, and was opened in 1996.  It's 800m long, and allows ships to pass through.  It really has to be seen to be appreciated, and it’s no wonder it's the subject of more conversations in Holland than the bridges in Amsterdam.  Flights to Holland can see you in Rotterdam quicker than travelling by ferry.

As well as being the largest port in Europe, Rotterdam is also home to some amazing architecture and buildings.  You won't want to miss the Van Nelle Building, Cube Houses, Hotel New York, or the Kop van Zuid whilst you're here.  If you're more of a flier than a sailor, you'll love the fact that flights to Holland can see you in Rotterdam quicker than a ferry.

The impressive Euromast offers unrivalled views of Rotterdam, as it's 185m tall.  If you want to watch the city as you dine, there's even a restaurant here.  For the brave, it's even possible to abseil down the tower too.  If you haven't got a head for heights, why not visit the Rotterdam zoo instead?

The Netherlands Art Institute can be found in Rotterdam, and this is a very artistic city.  If you appreciate modern or fine art, then you'll love the galleries and museums in Rotterdam.  Why not find out if there are any exhibitions on that you want to see, so that you can book your flights to Holland for the right time?

You'll want to find somewhere to eat and drink whilst you're here, and you'll definitely be spoilt for choice. With many cafes and restaurants to choose from, you're bound to experience great food.  Rotterdam is well known for offering brilliant nightlife.  If you're fed up with the clubbing scene in the UK, why not book flights to Holland, and see what a night out in Rotterdam is really like?

The Hague

As the capital of the Netherlands the Hague offers lots to see and do, and perhaps surprisingly isn't as popular destination with those who book flights to Holland as Amsterdam or Rotterdam.
Like most capital cities, The Hague has plenty of shops for those looking for a bit of retail therapy.  You'll want to visit the Haagsche Bluf shopping centre, and De Frederik Hendriklaan , or the Fred as the local residents call it. The Statenkwartier, Prinsestraat and nearby streets are where you need to be if you're looking for antiques or collectibles, or perhaps some designer items and mementoes and souvenirs of your time here.

You won't want to miss the Maudromdam model village, or the Panorama Mesdag, which is a cylindrical painting 160m² in size, and dating from 1881.  It's also, not surprisingly, the biggest painting in Holland.

Even though it's a thriving modern capital city, it's possible to be on the beach in a few minutes.  The popular holiday resorts of Scheveningen and Kijkduin are just outside of The Hague.  If you can't decide between a beach holiday and a city break, why not choose both and book your flights to Holland and visit The Hague.

Many other towns and villages are popular with visitors who book flights to Holland, and no matter whether you're looking for a flower market, or just want to see fields of flowers in bloom.  As the country is so flat, Holland is popular with cyclists, both recreational and professional.  Football is also another popular pastime here, so whether your team is playing a Dutch team in a European game, or you want to experience a Dutch football match for yourself, you'll definitely want to book your flights to Holland.

Because Holland is the perfect destination and so close, there are many flights to Holland every day.  If you're coming here on business, and book your flights to Holland at the last minute, or book your holiday flights to Holland well in advance, you're sure of a warm welcome, and plenty to see and do.  Flights to Holland will let you experience this amazing country, whether you're coming on a hen or stag weekend, city break, or summer family holiday.
