05/06/2015

Durham Tees Valley Airport will be welcoming Middlesbrough Football Club as they set off to play one of the most important games in the club’s history.

Tomorrow afternoon (May 22nd) the team and officials will fly out from the airport on their way to London and preparations for their Championship play-off final against Norwich at Wembley Stadium on Monday.

Says Airport Manager Shaun Woods ““We have had a great relationship with the club for many years and are always happy to accommodate their needs—including , for example, their late night return flight last month after their game at Norwich who, of course, will be their opponents again on Monday..

“With the convenience of the airport being so close to both the Riverside Stadium and their training ground at Rockcliffe Hall we will always be available to meet the Boro’s needs and wish them well for Wembley—and hopefully even better things next season.”

Meanwhile on Monday morning Middlesbrough supporters will be boarding a flight at the airport heading for Wembley
