A new destination from Durham Tees Valley Airport for the 2014 summer season has been announced today.
Leading holiday company Thomson has put on sale from today (April 25) its new weekly service from Durham Tees Valley to Ibiza. It will join the well-established Thomson summer service from the airport to Majorca.
Said Airport Director Steve Gill “We are very pleased that Thomson has decided to offer this additional service to Ibiza which is a popular destination for North East holidaymakers. Bookings can be made from today which gives people plenty of time to plan ahead for next summer.
“We are in constant discussions with airlines and operators about developing new routes and services. It remains a tough market but it is good to have positive news today. What’s important now is that local people show their support for both the new service and the Majorca service.”
Ibiza is a beautiful island that has something to offer all holiday makers including a fantastic social scene and sandy beaches situated within San Antonio Town. San Antonio Bay is also a very popular attraction for those looking for a slightly quieter experience where they can relax with the family. Santa Eulalia, located over on the East coast, also boasts a wide selection of shops and quality restaurants for couples to enjoy.
