Another major holiday company has announced flights from Durham Tees Valley Airport for summer 2014.
Balkan Holidays will be offering a peak season weekly flight to Bourgas in Bulgaria throughout August. It marks a return to Durham Tees Valley by the company—news warmly welcomed by Chris Harcombe, Head of Aviation Development.
“Balkan Holidays rightly prides itself on being a specialist holiday operator to Bulgaria and we know that it is a very popular holiday destination for people from the North East. Its Black Sea coasts stretches an impressive 230 miles, with some of the finest sandy beaches in Europe, an average temperature of 27°C and a wide choice of resorts and hotels catering for all tastes.
“Of course what makes Bulgaria especially appealing is that it offers excellent value for money—indeed the recently-published Post Office holiday costs ‘barometer’ showed that it was again amongst the top value destinations in the world.”
The flights from Durham to Bourgas will serve main resorts including Sunny Beach and Golden Sands—-prices include seven nights self-catering at the Summer Dreams Apartments in Sunny Beach, departing on August 25th from £441 per person, and there are great family deals as well, for example 14nights all inclusive for two adults and two children, at the Hotel Pomorie at Sunny Beach, departing on August 18th for an all-in price of £1,986. Bookings can now be made via the Balkan Holidays website www.balkanholidays.co.uk or by calling 0845 130 1114.
The announcement of the Balkan flights follow the recent news that Thomson will adding a new destination from Durham Tees Valley for summer 2014…flying to Ibiza as well as its well-established summer service to Majorca.
