A former RAF station, Durham Tees Valley Airport began commercial operations in 1964. Since then we’ve developed into a modern international airport offering a convenient travel experience for passengers based in the North East of England

Located in beautiful countryside between Darlington and Durham, we now offer parking right next to the terminal and easy access to a range of package breaks, North Sea flights and 200+ worldwide connections via KLM’s Schipol Hub.

In 2013 we handled 161,092 passengers and announced a new masterplan, signalling our intention to focus on scheduled routes and expanding non-passenger related business activities such as business aviation, commercial property and housing.

Part of Peel Airports, who own Doncaster Sheffield and Liverpool John Lennon airports, we’re also continuing to develop further services and increase the range of destinations as we look to become the airport of choice for passengers in the Tees Valley region.
